Well designed
I sprayed it black and does a good job of making the Tap Dial look built in. Didn’t have any issues with how well it held the tap unlike other reviewers.

Modular design holds the product quality back
SM223-UK purchased along with SM202-HTD (for Tap Dial Switch). As others have said, the two don't quite fit together, meaning pushing one corner pushes the opposite side out and vice versa. I have other SAMOTECH switch covers for v2 dimmers, and they were spot on (the SM200 being the perfect solution), so was surprised these were not of the same quality. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a suitable alternative, so will make do for now, while keeping an eye open for something better coming to market.

A tight fit for the Hue Tap Dial
This is a great product in principle. The surround nicely fits over the existing switch.Unfortunately this face plate lets it down a bit.Firstly it doesn't click into the surround perfectly, if you push the plate in the corners you will here it click.Secondly the face plate is a very tight fit for the switch. It cannot be as easily removed or placed back as the official plate as the switch gets wedged into the plate. This is completely unnecessary as they also include a metal ring to work with the magnets in the switch which is what the official holder relies upon. The first issue is minor, and not noticeable with normal use but the second issue is really annoying. I am worried I am going to break the switch as I pull it out of the plate. If it wasn't for these issues this would absolutely be a 5 star product.

It’s not great
Fits over the switch well, its nicely moulded and looks good on the wall. But as another reviewer said the plate doesn’t engage with the holder perfectly. You push the corners and it clicks and creaks pushing out the opposite corner. But worse, at least on mine, the hold of the switch is terrible, nothing like the Hue mount. Turning the dial whilst mounted practically causes the switch to drop out. There is barely any magnetic attraction, just enough to hold it. All in all I would probably not recommend it and doubt I will be buying more. The lack of decent magnetic attraction is a deal breaker as its an expensive switch to be dropping. I couldn’t find any good alternates though so if you can live with the above maybe worth trying one out.
