Took a bit of a punt on this device. In the past I've always gone for towers or laptops, but a friend suggested a mini-pc - and after trawling through a few reviews here and there I settled on this machine.Having previously set up a couple of Window 11 machines I was expecting the installation/setup on this machine to be just as tiresome but it actually went very smoothly indeed...and it seems to be that someone might have pre-tweaked a few settings. Signed in with a local account without any problems at all.In use it's really very quiet. If I'm editing photos or videos the fan will sometimes kick in, but you'd be hard put to notice it. I guess if you really stretch the machine it'll make a bit more noise but for general office/photo work it just ticks along nicely without any fuss. I did find that placing it on a rubber mat helped to cut down noise transmission on the shelf where it sits.Haven't bothered to do any speed testing and suchlike but it's clearly very nimble.Any negatives? Just a minor one; the USB A port on the front on the case is very close to the power switch, and a clumsy insertion/withdrawal sometimes leads to knocking the power switch into standby mode - so if the screen goes blank when you pull out a usb stick, that'll be why!It's been in pretty much constant use for just over a month now and hasn't skipped a beat - and if carries on like that I'll be very pleased indeed.

The Beelink SER8, however, came with a genuine Windows 11 license pre-installed and activated—a welcome surprise!Wi-Fi performance has been flawless—I consistently get 900+ Mbps speeds even when my router is on a different floor. The unit also stays cool and quiet under heavy use.Note on configuration/pricing: Amazon’s listing didn’t offer the 32GB/1TB variant I wanted, and the price difference was significant (nearly £100 cheaper buying elsewhere). If Amazon stocked this configuration, I’d have bought it here for convenience.In summary, the Beelink SER8 8745HS is a powerhouse—perfect for productivity, media, or light gaming. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a premium mini PC with no compromises!

The PC was advertised as having 32GB of RAM, but upon checking only has 24GB. That’s a pretty big discrepancy and feels misleading. It's quite noisy at idle too, so I wouldn't recommend this.
