Tusk (Amazon Exclusive Clear Vinyl)

Sounds great and came in perfect condition

I splurged and bought "Tusk", "Rumors", and self titled "Fleetwood Mac". All are 180 gram and sound amazing. Overnight delivery was also a nice benefit.

Defective pressing. All of them. The more I ordered the worse they got!

A classic Fleetwood Mac release. I bought this to replace my original copy bought in 1979 (gone missing). This version includes the inserts/sleeves with artwork from the original release, which is nice. According to the label, manufactured by Warner Music. HOWEVER, the discs are visibly warped which I attribute to Amazon Fulfillment/Prime Delivery (too hot in the delivery truck for the two days it took in transit?). Or at the very least, how the item is handled in the Amazon warehouse. I do not suspect Warner Music (historically, their quality has always been top notch). Luckily my turntable can handle the warping with minimal affect to the audio (but I can hear it). Not worth going through a return process. But I will not be buying "Amazon Exclusive" vinyl again.

I've been a fan of Tusk since I first heard it during my college days. The clear vinyl is cool, but I believe another reviewer is mistaken - the recent colored vinyl reissues of Fleetwood Mac are standard weight vinyl. They are not 180g, which is a shame. I've also heard other reviewers complain about the playability of these reissues. I can attest to the grape vinyl of Rumours having issues. It skipped right out of the shrink wrap on the song "Chains" (the first song on side 2) even after cleaning it. Also these reissues have not been remastered, so that's a good thing or bad based on how you feel about today's loudness wars and compression when it comes to remastering. 5 stars for the music and the clear vinyl minus 1 star for the poor job of pressing and not releasing them on 180g.
