Very satisfied
Super fast delivery by DHL express. Great care on wrapping. Had a 3-day experience and got no technical issues at all. Though neglected in many reviews, I believe that the best feature of GPD WIN 4 is a native landscape display that works perfectly for retro games. Can't say it's not expensive, but worth to pay.

Was it the SSD? 2-1/2 months later and I still don’t have it back please be aware
So this was a process I received my GPD Win 4 back in April of 2023 it worked great for about 6 months then Windows 11 updated not sure if this was the root cause of my problems or not however the 2TB SSD that was installed had some issues and was failing I found this out later which was surprising given that the SSD used is a Western Digital more on this later though. So after the update the device just randomly would turn off it did this a few times and I figured the battery was getting low and needed a good charge so I plugged it up let it sit overnight went back the next day and it would not respond to any type of power button presses power cables no lights indicating it was taking a charge anything at all. According to the seller the issue was an internal cable issue that GPD replaced.Thankfully the device came with a warranty and the seller worked with me (not an easy process I must add) on getting a replacement/repair so you can buy with uncertain confidence knowing you’re covered if something happens and hopefully the replacement will be all good with no issues. Mind you it did take about 2-1/2 months to get this repaired I sent it out in Early November and it is now late January so keep that in mind if you do have to send it for repair and if you think you’ll get a refund you might as well forget about it you’re getting a repair or replacement they don’t take to kindly to refunds.Honestly with the price of this handheld I wouldn’t recommend it, it just feels incomplete and like an early release that should’ve undergone a lot of testing first maybe once this has been out a while it will be a good device but time will tell. I will update this portion when I receive the replacement. As of now it is January 21 2024 and it was supposedly sent January 19 2024 so will see how long it takes to arrive.About the SSD when I contacted the seller I was informed to ship it back for repair and if it couldn’t be repaired they would replace it so I decided to pull the SSD for personal reasons I was initially going to wipe it but for some reason the Disk management program could not format it or erase it so then I decided to install it as a boot drive and do a fresh install of windows because that would wipe the drive for sure and it did indeed but by the time I did that the GPD had already been sent for repair. Long story short I installed this newly installed windows SSD in my gaming rig and it started having OS issues it would stutter, videos took too long to load and I had blue screens more times than not; which was a bummer because I was going to use that drive with the repaired GPD. Thankfully the seller included a new 1 TB drive with the repaired unit. Just the other day I took the SSD (2 TB faulty one) out of my system and formatted it this time it did format and I tried to use it just as a back up drive with my ROG NVME USBC drive holder and it wouldn’t even recognize it I also tried to use it in a new PC I just built it wasn’t recognized there either lastly I tried in my gaming rig that I had custom built to my needs a few years back and it was not recognized in that system either and before you ask yes I checked in disk management and made sure it was set up it did not show up in disk management.Overall this has been an unpleasant experience and if you are planning on purchasing this unit please be aware of the issues that could potentially arise. At multiple points I just wanted a refund but the seller would not give me a refund had to get Amazon involved a couple times because I couldn’t get a response from the seller but I digress just make sure if you are buying this you know what you’re getting into.

Its fun but its windows
Its fun and everything works, but its windows with windows problems. Overall i’m happy with this. I have some issues with charging and powering it on, but I think its something i’m doing rather than the device. Ill update later
