Edit. Original review below.I have recommended these to my sister who was becoming so stiff she was in danger of being mistaken for a tree. A few days on and she called in a state of shock. It had only just struck her that she had trotted down the stairs that morning without even thinking about it. A week or so in, she forgot to take them for a few days. Stiffness came back. Lesson learned. Now, they are part of her daily routine.In the light of spreading joy, she recommended them to a friend who suffered from appalling neck pain. This poor woman could only turn her head so far and she was in constant agony. She had spent a fortune on chiropractors, gold injections and had even been advised to have an operation on her neck (thank goodness she said no), all to no avail. Worth a try, I imgine.I have the knees of a 90-year-old and the 90-year-old isn't happy. Neither am I! I love walking, but lately I find I'm doing more of a shuffle, interspersed with loud moaning and groaning. The noise is particularly bad whenever I have to bend down for something; the bending down is bad enough, but the getting back up is torture. My husband keeps moaning about me moaning - I may have to kill him. Anyway, it wasn't always like this. Once upon a time, I used to leap out of bed in the morning like a gazelle and, shortly after, dash down the stairs two-at-a-time. Now, I inch my way out of the bed doing a kind of sideways shufty, whilst scrabbling for the carpets with my toes. Then, when I'm finally upright (to the sound track of the aforementioned moans and groans), I walk sideways down the stairs like a crab, whilst holding onto the banisters for dear life. Or, at least I did. You see I knew the cure - Green Lipped Mussel - I'd had them before, but had run out of them and been too lazy to re-order. Big mistake! These (sometimes smelly) little capsules are a miracle. My husband pointed out that they are also reputed to have a miraculous effect on old dogs with arthritis - I didn't like the way he was looking at me. Like I said before, I may have to kill him, but not until I've taken out a whacking great insurance policy. So, I ordered the GLMs again and, sure enough, in a matter of days my knees stopped creaking, my back stopped groaning, my hip stopped telling me I was no longer sixteen and should give up the dancing and any sudden movements. And I stopped swearing every time I moved. I have made up my mind NEVER to run out of these again (like I can run, anyway!) and vowed always to have a supply on hand. I have also bought some for my 29-year-old son, who I'm sorry to say is falling apart at the seams. Back, legs, ribs, everything is giving him grief. Except for me. Instead, I give him Green Lipped Mussel and loads of advice about his love-life. You'd think he'd be a bit more grateful. That's me done. I'm skipping off out now - yes, skipping - okay, then, walking - but at least I'm upright and non-creaky. Give them a go!

Like others on here I bought these for my Dog. He is a 15+ year old Lurcher and his back end has gone and was very 'arched' showing his discomfort. He has been on these capsules for around ten days and I feel there is a definite improvement in the way he moves and he is no longer 'arched'. He only has a short walk at lunchtime and he seems to be a bit more interested in his surroundings so walking is a lot easier for him. I think when I get the 'aches' I'll ask if I can share his medication;-))Edited.Unfortunately Bob the Lurcher was PTS last week and I decided to try these myself. I'm a fairly active 70 year old and after a week on these capsules I can already feel the difference in my joints and getting up is getting easier and bending as well.What is really good though is that I now know that the last few weeks of Bobs life was a little easier because of these capsules and that means a great deal to me.Update:- just bought my second lot so very pleased with the results ;-))

Been taking for less than a month and seem to be working. Pain has eased considerably. 4 stars rather than 5 as still early days. Easy to take and swallow and I give one a day to my dog and she seems much better in mobility too. Recommend - these are definitely worth a go

I like the easy post packaging as I wasn't in at the time and there it was waiting for me by the post box. I am currently taking one a day and although I haven't taken them a great length of time, I am finding that I can move about a bit better. I still have pain but then I do push myself so that is my fault.I am all for natural products and would rather take them compared to taking drugs which has awful side effects to the body. All drugs are based from an organic plant of mineral so why not take it from the source??When you open the top you are hit with a smell of molluscs and it can repeat on you after you have digested one, but I find if I eat a flavoured yoghurt straight after - I don't tend to belch or have a mouth full of fish breath :-)

Warning don't take if you have a fish allergy! I started taking green lipped mussel (GLM) about 10 years ago. Before taking GLM I was waking up 4 or 5 times a night with severe pain in my hip. After taking GLM for 2- 3 weeks, I was waking up just once a night. I continued to take GLM after my hip replacement, as I had arthritis in my other hip, both knees and my right ankle. The GLM reduces inflammation and therefore increases my mobility. I have managed for 10 years now without having any more joint replacements.

I put one in with a mouthful of food in the morning. Easy to swallow like that without leaving a taste.As for pain relief , absolutely brilliant. My pain is gone almost in a month.They worked for my dog so I wanted to see if there were any for humans.Would highly recommend.Me and my dod will keep taking them all the time as they will help with arthritis in later years to.Thumbs up from me
