Not Snake Oil! Great for X-Box 360 and PS3
The only case I found for keeping it was with my PS3, which did perform as advertised. The main reason I bought this cable was to use with my RGB modded N64 through an OSSC. Using the game shark code, I removed the first pass of antialiasing. Then I hoped upscaling from 480P --> 1080p with the cable and adding AA at the last step would result in a cleaner soft image. It did, but it also stretched the 4:3 content to 16:9 instead of integer scaling, which looks bad. I used HD Retrovision SNES component cables to the OSSC in Line Double mode. Also there was no sound. In Line 3x mode it had the correct aspect ratio, but still no audio, and the screen was peppered with graphical artifacts. It's clear the OSSC has issues with this cable or visa-versa. I would have liked to try it on an UltraHDMI modded N64 with Deblur enabled in addition to the disabled first AA pass. Sadly I'm still waiting on mine.I tried Dreamcast via D-sub 15 to the OSSC. No audio and screen was stretched to 16:9. It did look pretty amazing, if it were not for that aspect ratio. No setting I could find fixed it. The cable must do it on it's own.***EDIT***I discovered that the audio issue can be resolved by toggling the audio source in the OSSC menu. It seems to be caused each time the game switches from 480i and 240p, so certain games and consoles will run into issues with this combination (N64 for example). That's very annoying. I don't have this issue with a regular HDMI cable. The 16:9 stretching can be fixed by toggling the TV aspect ratio to normal, which squeezes the picture back to 4:3. However, be aware that not all TVs are flexible in this regard. My VIZIO P-series is on a power trip and stubbornly reminds me "it's already in the best mode", disabling other aspect modes (which is a stone wall slap in the face). A true upscaler like the Micomsoft XRGB mini framemeister has options to crop and scale the image displayed. So I could get around this issue by adding it to the chain. For example, N64--(Component)-->OSSC--(mCable)-->Framemeister--(HDMI)-->TV. Unfortunately, the cost of doing that is prohibitively high with the Framemeister costing over $300, the OSSC over $150, and the mCable around $100. Not to mention that the framemeister is soon to be discontinued, adds about a frame of lag, and is another thing taking up space in my AV setup (not to mention the rats nest of wires).***EDIT***There is no point in keeping the cable Just for movies, as there is a cinema version that is less expensive. I am not willing to keep it just for PS3/X-Box 360, which IMO look fine on a 4K TV without this cable. I was under the impression that it would upscale 1080p content to 4k, but it didn't work for me...***EDIT***Actually, it does. However, it only does so for 1080p 24Hz content, like movies. I watched a BluRay on my PS3 upscaled to 4K and it does look better than without the mCable. 1080p games don't upscale to 4K because they run at 60 FPS (Hz) and the mCable can't do that. For them it adds nothing to the image. It does upscale 480p/720p --> 1080p, with good, lag free, Anitaliasing. You'll need to change the settings in your PS3/X-BOX 360 to output in 720p instead of 1080p. In the PS3 at least you can change the BluRay video output separate from Games, so both 1080p for games and 4k for BluRay will be handled by the cable. The stretch to 16:9 aspect ratio may be an issue if your TV doesn't allow you to squeeze it back to 4:3, if you plan on using this cable to play SD era games.***EDIT***Bottom line: If you want to smooth out jagged lines on 720p era games (PS3/X-Box 360) then this will work great. If you only want to upscale BluRay to 4K for a modest bump up in picture quality, buy the cinima cable. If you own a PS3, get the Gaming edition. If you thought of pairing it with an OSSC to handle retro games, they don't play nice! You may need a frameister to solve aspect ratio issues, it your TV rudely refuses to.

Absolutely amazing as expected
I'd say for ppl who love to play games and retro games and want to upgrade ur games graphics along with performance i definitely recommend this device.Games that have aliasing the mcable gaming edition gets rid of jagged edges by adding anti alaising along with upscaling the games quality.I currently use in my setup the mclassic, mcable cinema, mcable gaming edition and the 4K gamer pro in that exact order for my daisy chain. The mclassic, mcable cinema and mcable gaming edition is marseille hdmi upscaler products which all does the same thing the mcable gaming edition does just with a lil bit of more features.I recommend you to also get the same upscalers I named in my daisy chain for extra upscale and enhanced graphics along with additional anti aliasing and to play ur games in 4K60fps which is what the 4K gamer pro does to ur games by feeding it a 1080p60fps signalThe best quality I'd say you'd get is setting ur console to 1080p for games to have better upscaled enhanced quality with anti aliasing. Now for more anti aliasing it's best to set console to 720p in console settings it'll be upscaled to 1080p60fps bc of the upscalers and the 4K gamer pro will upscale that 1080p60fps to 4K60fps upscaling the effects as well from marseille upscalersBut setting ur console to 720p and having the marseille upscalers upscale that to 1080p60fpsthen to 4K60fps by the 4K gamer pro it won't look as good in game quality then it would if you were to set console to 1080p60fps while using the upscalersThe last for images I posted is 720p vs 1080p with the upscalers hope this helps you can zoom in on the last for images to see the difference👍

It works, but I'm still having a hard time justifying the price tag.
I am using the cable for 1080p not 4K. The cable definitely offers a visual upgrade to games, especially older games on the PS3, Wii U, and I assume Xbox 360 (I don't own one so I can't confirm). Additionally, I have a Wii with an HDMI converter and I seem to get a decent upgrade there as well, however, because the Wii converter upscales first, it doesn't appear to be providing much anti-aliasing (AA) for the Wii games at this time, but it does seem to sharpen textures and have better contrast. I ordered a converter that does not upscale as it seems others have had luck with playing the Wii through the Wii U at 480p, but I haven't found anyone that converted the HDMI signal to 480p and tried that on the original Wii yet. I will update with results once I get the converter. I see a very minor upgrade to the PS4, if you are buying this cable specifically for the PS4 I would say to save your money. The upgrade in visuals is hardly noticeable in most games once you are a few feet away from the television. Most PS4 games already have good AA and sharp textures so even though there is a slight visual upgrade, it doesn't seem to warrant the price tag. Some people have claimed that the cable provides a waxy look. From what I can tell, under certain in game lighting conditions you so seem to get a waxy look, but the games that I have played so far seem to mostly benefit from the cable. The cable does best when you play the content at its native resolution. This works really well on the PS3 because the PS3 does not up convert content. I can leave the PS3 at 1080p and know that games that are 720p will be passed to the cable at 720p. This is idea. The Wii U and Xbox 360 though both up convert content. Most games on the Xbox 360 and Wii U run at 720p, but a handful of games, mostly remakes, run at 1080p. This means to get the best results from the cable you will want to change your video settings to match the content. Playing The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild on the Wii U, I definitely noticed a difference at 720p vs the 1080p settings. The cable up converts the content to 1080p regardless, but provides better AA when BOTW is sent to it at 720p, though there was still significant help with the jaggies at 1080p as well.I have docked two stars for the following reasons. 1. The cord is just to expensive. I realize it is the only cord offering an AA boost to games, but even still it is very expensive at $120. I think $60 is the right price for this cord. 2. The price differential between the 9ft cord and the 3ft cord is too high. I would have liked to get the longer cord actually, but I got the 3ft cord to save money. I have a 5 to 1 HDMI switch to make the most of the cord with all my game systems hooked to it. 3. The cord has blacked out the screen for a second or two on a few occasions. It seems to be some kind of internal reset. It did this after I changed the output resolution on the Wii U, but there was a delay of over a minute before it seemed to reset.I like this product, don't get me wrong. But I am left wondering whether I should have waited for a 2nd generation cord to work out some of the bugs and perhaps be priced a little lower. Either way, the cord really does work, albeit, its much better for older game content than newer assuming you are using it for 1080p. The improvements are not entirely consistent, some games looked very much improved like the Wii U LZ_BOTW, but other games only seemed to have very moderate improvements like Star Fox Zero. I saw this same disparity on the PS3.Wii Update Edit: (for those of you that want to upscale a Wii, purchase a Wii HDMI converter that only outputs 480p, this is very important, otherwise you will see only a minor visual upgrade, both Wii and GC games that support progressive scan get a major facelift. It's not as good as what can be accomplished by Dolphin, but you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality upgrade, it nearly makes Wii games look HD)I got the Wii HDMI converted that outputs 480p vs the one that upscaled the output. Visually there is a huge improvement. However, for some reason I'm not getting any sound. When I plugged the new hdmi converter directly into the television, I did have sound, but when I run it through the mCable, no sound. The sound worked with the previous converter. The converter has a separate audio jack, so I am still able to get sound, but I am disappointed that my television is able to recognize the sound normally, but not when its passed through the mCable. I have not experienced this with any other system, just the converted hdmi signal from the Wii, so I can't be too upset. As far as the visual improvement, the cord is now providing the Wii games with some much needed AA. While there are still plenty of jaggies (I wasn't expecting perfection), there are far fewer and the ones that do show up are far less ugly. There's really good texture enhancement as well. For as bad as Wii games look at 1080p, this cord does a whole lot. Skyward Sword is perhaps one of the ugliest Wii Games with its lack of AA, but it actually looks pretty good now, though objects in the distance are still quite muddied.Update 2 weeks in:The initial problem that I had with the screen blacking out appears to be because my hdmi switch was not powered and had issues with the PS4, so the mCable was not causing that problem. I had never plugged my PS4 into this particular switch before. I added power to the switch and I haven't had the problem again. Since this was one of my reasons for docking a star, I have upgraded my review to 4 stars.

Stunningly surprised
First time buying a luxury item for the switch but after watching reviews wow this cable did not disappoint only for the gamers who are willing to pay a high price be warned it is Luxury for the price makes a difference but not a massive one still worth it if you have a switch I would say since it is not yet in 4K

(Need more time to properly review) but...
The goal of this cable is to enchance AA without input lag and it do wonder on my nintendo switchBut here just something to consider: if you have a 27-32" tv 4k monitor the cable will effect will not be that noticable... But on a 50" + tv (i have a sony xbr55900f) its night and dayMost older console like ps3/xbox 360 or nintendo switch will render the games at lower resolution than even 1080p and without a proper upscale to 4k look very blurry crappy on big 4K tv (mid to high end) or they may be some upscale but the input lag is just terribleThe mcable fix it for me... The image look less blocky without been too blur (zelda breath of the wild)There is no delay or input lag... Or its so minimal that its imperceptible...I need to test it for my ps3 with some games... But i would not really bother with my ps4 pro as it offer either some supersampling or 4k with HDR...In short you wont get much from a xbox one x /ps4 pro for recent title but for wii/nintendo or older gen its really good if you got a big display (and of good enouph quality where you can really see the difference)
