EXCELLENT OIL BASED STAIN THAT LASTS
I have used TWP Stain for over 15 years and it is the best. Why? Because it is an oil based stain that soaks into the wood that adds a waterproofing layer as well as a stain that is available in all of your favorite colors.Do not waste your time with water based stains that quickly fade and wash away.I have used TWP on 2 big porches, stairs and on a huge wooden backyard fence. It rolls on easily (and best) with a 4 inch mini roller that fully coats one deck board and yet is small enough for rails and pickets. One coat is enough and you will be amazed at how well it stands up to all day sun and salty air.It comes in 1 gallon and 5 gallon cans shipped to your door!

... 36 hours after I had ordered it that is amazing delivery service
First of all the product arrived at my doorstep 36 hours after I had ordered it that is amazing delivery service. Second TWP 1520 is easy to apply it goes on like glass and covers and penetrates extremely effectively. I used it to refinish a 25 year old deck. first I pressure washed it with a solution of oxygenated bleach then let it sit for 48 hours and applied the TWP 1520. the whole project was 1200 square feet and I used 6 gallons of product to apply two full coats. the pecan color cures to a deep rich brown color with a hint of reddish hue. I ordered a 5 gallon pail of 1520 from another vendor which cost $184 but I also needed this extra gallon and this was the best price including shipping that I could find I'm glad I had the extra gallon so that I could get full coverage. This stained is amazing and I cannot understand why it is not available locally. there are numerous professional painters and deck restoration experts who rate TWP as the number one rated stain on the market it is an epa-registered wood preservative has excellent UV blockage for a semi-transparent stain long-term durability and covers effectively. I would use this product every two years possibly three years by simply cleaning and reapplying no need to strip the stain that's already there very easy long-term maintenance wish I had found this years ago

Can't go wrong with TWP
I have used many stains over the years and TWP is the best semi transparent stain on the market. You MIGHT be able to find a stain that lasts longer, but TWP is so easy to re-apply that I would never switch products. If you do the following approx every 2-3 years, you will be doing better than 95% of people:- apply sodium percarbonate with garden sprayer, scrub, then rinse off.-apply oxalic acid with garden sprayer, then rinse off (works on contact).-apply stain to dry wood with natural bristle brush. Stir stain every few minutes. Try not to apply in direct sunlight. Pray that it doesn't rain in the next 24 hours! The 100 series of TWP works great on hardwoods like Ipe. Same procedure as above. Although not recommended by TWP, you can layer the product on Ipe (it sticks to itself). Pecan looks awesome on Ipe! I tried cedar color and it was too orange and looked HORRIBLE. I made a test board with other hardwood stains and TWP held up the longest. Armstrong Clark was a close second. If you get into a routine and are careful applying the stain, it doesn't have to be an arduous task.

Costs well
Goes on well coats and dries evenly. I don’t about longevity yet but looks much better than other stain/sealants we’ve used on redwood decking.

I’ve used this to treat my wood deck. It lasts about 3-4 yrs. Deck looks great and sheds water.

Worked on my older deck
I used this on a deck that was previously done with cheaper products.I also used the Gemini 895 Restore a deck Cleaner 1st.It did a great job, but the drying time was about 3 days in the Arkansas mountains. The humidity is pretty high here.I followed the directions about going over it to get up the excess. It still needs a 2nd coat.

Good stain and not a paint
Great product if you are looking for a finish that will never peel off. After application is has oily finish that repeals water but it will fade in 2-3 weeks.I recoat my deck every 3-4 years.
