Good for sinuses…not so much with GERD.
I got this because elevating the head when sleeping was supposed to help. As a side sleeper, a partial wedge wasn’t going to to cut it (bad for the back). My doctor agreed it would help and that it couldn’t hurt to give it a try if I didn’t already have an adjustable bed. It’s well-made and comfortable. You do have to remember to have the memory foam part facing up if you sleep directly upon it. I had to change the configuration 3 times to find what worked best for me. I have a Sleep Number bed with a layer of memory foam on top. I ultimately had to put the wedge UNDER the mattress and the memory foam on top to maintain the level of comfort to which I was accustomed. My memory foam layer was softer than what the wedge provided.PROS….It has helped with sinuses. They drain more naturally during the night, so I don’t wake up with sinus headaches and congestion as I had been before using this product.CONS….It hasn’t helped that much with GERD. My best strategy is to not eat for several hours before bed and avoid foods that trigger episodes. The wedge is helpful, but an ounce of prevention still does more than this pound of cure.I also may need to replace the feet on my bed frame (wheels) with lower profile pads. The lower end of the bed is about the same height, but the higher end does make it more of a challenge to get in and out of bed with the extra memory foam layer. It’s not so much a “con,” but it does take some getting used to the slight incline. If you toss and turn in the night, you will feel like you’re slipping towards the foot of the bed. This takes some getting used to, but it isn’t an issue by itself…unless you use sheets that are easily to slip and slide upon.

Best money I've ever spent!
My issue is with acid reflux. I read the reviews from people with the same issue so I did some research. I bought the Milliard Bed Wedge because it got great reviews and it comes with a washable cover. I was skeptical at best. I followed the direction and allowed it to expand for 2 days. It expanded to about 6 1/2 inches in total. The cover is stretchy and easily fits over the wedge. As far as I could tell, there was not an odor that some other wedges have. It seems to be made very well. There are 2 sides to it for those who want to put it on top of your mattress. One side is softer than the other. I put it under my mattress and hoped for the best. It's been about a week using it now and I have had the best sleep I have had in a long long time. My acid reflux doesn't bother me at night anymore. I wondered if I would have a hard time adjusting to it and slide down the mattress, but so far so good. No sliding. I also have planter fasciitis from working on cement all day. Before I used the wedge, when I would get out of bed in the morning, my feet would ache and I would have to hobble into the bathroom. I am shocked and amazed that since I've been using this wedge, my feet don't ache nearly as bad when I get up. They still hurt a little but I don't feel crippled in the mornings. Maybe it's just me, so I don't know if others would have the same benefit from it, but it's worth mentioning. I could not be happier with this wedge. I just wish I would have found out about it sooner. It's the best thing I've bought in a long time! DISCLAIMER...I am not employed by the Milliard company and they are not paying me for this review. I just love their product!

Make sure the wedge is not upside down
We put our king size wedge on top of our new mattress. The first two nights on this wedge were brutal! Hard as a rock! I was thinking about returning it, or at the least, putting the wedge between the mattress and the box spring. Then we discovered we had the wedge upside down, and the softer memory foam side was facing the mattress, but we were supposed to be sleeping that side. Once we turned it right side up, the wedge was much more comfortable. We have been sleeping on it for 2 weeks now, and it is firm, but comfortable. It's a little cooler than our prior wedge, which was all memory foam.We use this wedge on my doctor's suggestion, to alleviate acid reflux (GERD), reduce potential for aspiration due to a neuromuscular autoimmune disease, and to reduce my spouse's snoring. It has helped on all fronts. I would say it's a keeper.

Will help with gerd and acid reflex
This is the topper to get if you have acid reflex or even gerd. Comfy and easy to share with your partner who don't suffer from the same condition. Bought the king size.

Everything to like about this product
1) arrived early 2) easy to unpack and set up 3) clear directions about 48hr "breathing" period 4) no odor 5) quality, comfortable washable zippered cover 6) flexibility of use -- above or under mattress, even to elevate legs if desired 7) reasonably priced; a third or more less than similar products 8) comfortable; firm yet memory form keeps it from being stiff 9) in short time has improved both reflux and sinus issues 10) no indication of future issues --- as title says, Everything to like about this product! * Be aware that obviously the height of your bed will change. On top of my 10" mattress and 8" box spring, the wedge adds another 7 " at the highest point, down to about 1-2" at the foot. Can make it a bit challenging to get into and out of bed ---but still worth it to me.

Intended to prevent, reduce acid reflux
The construction and materials are high-quality. The memory foam topper is very comfortable. But, for me, the 9” head elevation is not enough. And, adding a specially designed pillow to cradle my head (recommended for GERD) makes my body slip down towards the foot of the bed. Plus, a fitted bottom sheet just doesn’t “fit”. However, the topper is so comfy, I find myself sleeping on my left side.
