Allen Select Canvas Double Compartment Shell Bag

I bought this to use for sporting clay shooting and other clay target shooting and I was very happy with it when I used it. I saw a review where someone posted a picture of the divider between the 2 pockets tearing and I don't see why someone would put a box of shells inside of this. It's essentially a dump pouch for shells and that's what I used it for. The divider is a thin material but you don't need to put a box of shells in this if your buying it. That being said I love this product and have had several friends purchase it and they love it also. Highly recommend this product!

I really like this. It will hold 50 shells comfortably. I as another noted use the inner pocket closer to me as loaded shells and the outter as an empty holder. This works very naturally. The bag is well made and seems solid. Belt adjuetments are nice and fast. I do recommend putting the adjustment buckle inside the the bag loop to keep it open and free moving.

I bought this bag for my first sporting clays competition. I poured two boxes (50rds) of loose 12 ga shells in the pocket closest to my hip and left the outside pocket open for empties. I never had to put empties in it because they had cans for us to put our empty shells in. Long story short, the bag developed a LARGE rip on the first outing with only 50 shells in it. I would not recommend this bag.

This is the second brand I've tried and both of them were 1/2 inch too narrow in both directions to fit 2 boxes of 12 gauge side-by-side. One fits in each section, but they are big and loose. At this point I've given up on these and just went with 2 Allen molded holders that fit 1 box a piece and a small drop pouch for spent shells.

Top quality design, materials, and workmanship. This pouch easily holds 2+ boxes of 12 gauge shotshells for easy access on the shooting range, and thus will hold many boxes of smaller gauge cartridges. Separate pockets for live cartridges and empty hulls. Sturdy web belt is easy to adjust, and appears to fit up to 50-inch girth.

I haven't had an issue with durabily but I've only taken it to shoot clay about 5 times but each time will dump 50 rounds in and fits fine. It is comfortable but my only complaint is that when I load in 50 and walk around shooting skeet the strap tends to start listening up but I just attach it to my belt now. If you're looking for a bag of constant use then pay for something better, but if you're just looking for something to use 2-4 time a month or less then I say this will get the job done

Odd design. The belt goes through the flap. This means that you cannot close the flap while it is being used. I guess this must be tolerable in some shooting disciplines as I don’t see any complaints here, but it will be a problem if you depend on it for a bugout situation.

Has a piece of fabric that divides it into two compartments. If you put a box of 25 shells in the inside pocket it compresses the outside pocket which makes for a tight fit when putting the spent shells in but it still works.

The vinyl material feels/looks cheap, but this bag is sturdy and very functional.

Great quality for the price. Holds 2 boxes worth of 12 gauge shells.
