Excellent Product and Great Customer Service!
Had a fitment issue on my 2003 MINI Cooper S manual transmission.The AP-05 for the transmission drain did not fit, despite that being what's called for on the Gold Plug website. The AP-05 has too large of a hex head to fit - the hex head corner hits on a protruding section of the housing. The hex head on the AP-05 is freakin' huge!I contacted Gold Plug and they are sending me an different part that has a smaller head. Part MP-10. Thank you Tim at Gold Plug for stepping up and correcting the problem!If you have a MINI, you should take a look at the machined area where the trans plug fits (the lower drain plug, not the upper fill plug) if there is a protruding boss adjacent to it, the AP-05 will probably not work. Order the MP-10 instead.Gold plug might want to revise the "Find Your Plug" tool on their website to reflect this issue.

Cheap Insurance to prevent premature transmission failure
I put one of these in my 2007 Toyota Prius Transaxle as the car is known for needing frequent transaxle fluid changes in order to prevent the metal bits from killing the transmission. I figure throwing one of these is cheap insurance compared to the trans failure replacement costs. Will update again when I change fluids in 40k miles.The magnet on these is very powerful, so a bit tricky to get into the transmission.Only negative is that it's very pricy. It shouldn't cost more then 10-12 dollars shipped, as it's just a magnet in a bolt with a simple crush washer.

DOES NOT FIT 2013 Volvo XC60
Build quality: 5 StarsIncorrect washer included: -1 StarBolt head size: -1 StarDoes not fit Volvo XC60 as advertised on website: -2 StarsPurchased for a 2013 Volvo XC60. The aluminum crush washer that is included is a very slight bit larger than the OEM washer, meaning that the washer would NOT clear the relief in the drain pan. Luckily I ordered a 10 pack of crush washers at the same time and decided not to swap out the plug until they came in.Even with the proper OEM washer, the sheer width of the bolt head does NOT fit in the relief cut into the XC60 oil pan. You can probably get it to work if you use 2 washers, or a thicker washer, or you can grind away some material from the drain pan. I refuse to do that for an oil plug that claims to fit in the first placeAs someone else stated, the head of the bolt is 1". Most stock are 15mm or 17mm, and even the large replacement available at the local auto parts store was 19mm. This means most weekend warrior mechanics will be reaching for the crescent wrench unless you want to go buy a dedicated 25mm. At least because it was so large the 10" crescent I had got good purchase on it without marring the edges.

Average quality, aluminum not stainless steel. Magnet has lost a considerable strength.
The magnet has lost considerable strength since purchased in 2018 and about 40,000 in the rear differential of a 1993 Volvo 240. The Dimple plug is noticeably stronger despite being twice as old. Replaced with a Vortec plug.

Great idea, need a big wrench
Great idea that Honda has used that I can now have for my Toyota.The only issue is that you need a 1 inch wrench to tighten it.

It my 1996 RAV4 auto tranny.
It's extremely strong and fit.I think the might fit the diff and transfer case, I plan on ordering two more.
