My Risotto Rice of choice
I've been told I cook a mean risotto (yes, even by Italians)I have tried various other brands and other risotto rice types (including other types by the same brand!)I find that this is easily superior to most cheap brands I have tried, and preferable to other (very good) risottos. Like any cook after a while you get use to using an ingredient in terms of timing, texture, smell, sound, balance etc. So once happy, and I am, one sticks with what one knows: I've been cooking with this brand for 14 years.Like any good Risotto Rice it has a great balance of the creamy starch released contrasted to the al dente texture. Of course you have to know how to cook it or even the best rice is going to be mushy and just plain bad!.Its not cheap, but when I'm cooking one of my 8-10 course tasting menus the price of the risotto isn't my problem!Highly recommended
